While the European market had its own iteration of the Honda Civic, which included both a TYPE R and a hatchback, that ended in 2015 with the arrival of the tenth generation model. Now, the Civic has a global design, and its five-door iteration (and TYPE R!) will be coming to America. Well, good news, friends! The 2017 Civic Hatchback is here, and it’s quite sporty.
With the eye-catching lines of the Civic sedan, the hatchback version stands out visually with sporty flair. Honda has flared the fenders, and added additional meshing on the front and rear bumpers. On the inside, the materials and tech are mostly carried over from the sedan, with minimal changes, and under hood, two versions of the 1.5-liter turbo can be had: one with 174 horsepower, and one with 180 horsepower.
